Cookie Notice

This page lists the cookies and browser storage used by Képesbolt, their purpose and lifetime. The short version: we only use cookies strictly necessary for the site to work — no marketing or analytics cookies.

Effective from 1 August 2026

This is an informational translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Hungarian version prevails.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of text data placed in your browser by a website and sent back on subsequent requests — this is how a site keeps you signed in or preserves your cart. Modern browsers also offer localStorage, which never leaves your browser. Under the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and Section 155(4) of Hungarian Act C of 2003, cookies that are strictly necessary for providing the service do not require consent — but you must be informed about them. This page provides that information.

2. Cookies and storage we use

NamePurposeLifetimeType
kb_sessionkeeps the photographer account signed in30 dayscookie (httpOnly)
kb_cartguest cart identifier token — without it the cart would be lost30 dayscookie (httpOnly)
kb_g_<gallery>remembers successful sign-in to a password-protected gallery (does not contain the password)30 dayscookie (httpOnly)
kb_ge_<gallery>remembers that the email gate of a gallery has been completed30 dayscookie (httpOnly)

kb-cookie-consentremembers that the cookie notice bar was acknowledgeduntil deletedlocalStorage
Every item above is strictly necessary, so no consent is required. We currently use no marketing, advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party trackers.

3. Managing and deleting cookies

You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Since all our cookies serve functionality, deleting them signs you out, empties your cart and requires re-entering password- or email-gated galleries.

4. Future changes

Should we ever introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will do so only with prior, freely given and informed consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): the cookie bar will be extended into a consent request and this notice will be updated. See the Privacy Policy for details of related processing.
